GLOBAL UNIFICATION THROUGH FOOD
The Red Goji is a multilingual, multicultural, teen-run food blog that uses modern media and a progressive mindset to celebrate the one-of-a-kind intersect between diversity and cuisine. Rather than speaking out with the purpose of labeling one side as superior and the other invalid, RG operates on a mission and a mindset that places everyone on the same playing field and showcases food as its own reward. Food is the common factor that brings us together as humans of the world, yet cuisine is what illustrates our differences in the most beautiful and unifying of ways. We are all valuable and unique—yet, at the end of the day, we are all the same. In a world divided by physical and ideological separation, what truth could be more urgent?
We are a force dedicated to filling in the gaps in the food narrative, a way for everyone to say, "We are here, and we love the food we eat."
In the end, our mission can be broken down into these four goals:
Breaking cultural barriers and building person-to-person connections through a global platform.
Bringing the global community into local ones using the equalizing medium of food.
Broadening cultural representation (and fighting cuisine appropriation) in popular food media.
Livening up your kitchen with the unfamiliar, the innovative, and the under/misrepresented.
